On September 13, a business game of the ‘Game of Goals’ marathon was held, dedicated to the prospects for the development of the St. Petersburg bus station in the context of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, moderated by the coordinator of the International Partner Initiative Green Mobility and the business game Game of Goals O. A. Yakimenko.

Organizers: Leontief Center, Green Mobility Partnership Initiative, Transport Committee of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg State Institution “External Transport Agency”, St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "Passazhiravtotrans" and Lux Express Group. 

The ‘Game of Goals’ marathon is held within the framework of the V St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum of Passenger Transport "SmartTRANSPORT" and the Youth platform of the All-Russian Forum "Strategic Planning in the regions and cities of Russia".

The main directions of project development:

- The impact of the bus station on people’s lives in 2035 (2050).

- The organization of the bus station, its constructive features, appearance, functional use, architectural design.

- Prospects for the availability of the bus station and bus transportation in general. Proposals for changing logistics and creating (improving) services for both passengers and carriers.

- Development of measures to stimulate use of bus transportation.

- Conducting a survey of passengers to identify requirements for the appearance of the station, its services and additional requirements that improve the operation of the bus station.

- Development of proposals for the development of remote interfaces and services such as: online ticket purchase, search for routes and schedules, ways of arriving at the bus station, from the perspectives of arriving and departing passengers.

Leading mentors and experts in the field of sustainable development, transport planning, architecture, HoReCa, consulting, government representatives will assist the teams in creating projects.

 

The final will take place on October 20 in St. Petersburg as part of the Smart Transport Forum, and the winning team will present their project at the Strategic Forum on October 25-26 in St. Petersburg.
