The Best Strategy Being Implemented in the Arctic
The VII Municipal Strategy Contest 2021 “The Best Strategy Being Implemented in the Arctic” (hereinafter – MSC-2021) aims at identifying successful experience of implementing strategies and strategic projects in the municipalities of Russia’s Arctic Zone, and also at identifying innovations and effective responses to socio-economic challenges at the municipal level.
The project aims to promote strategic planning at the municipal level by disseminating successful experience of strategy implementation.
MSC-2021 Organizers:
- Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation;
- All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government;
- All-Russian Congress of Municipalities;
- St. Petersburg Committee for Arctic Affairs;
- Committee of Civil Initiatives;
- Expert Center "Project Office for the Development of the Arctic";
- ICSER Leontief Centre.
Application deadline — 3 September 2021. Submit an application via email konkurs2021@leontief.ru
The MSC-2021 contestants are all types of municipalities (urban and municipal districts, urban and rural settlements), located in Russia’s Arctic Zone, with experience in strategic planning.
The MSC-2021 Finals and the Awards Ceremony will be held at the in-person stage of the Strategic Planning Leaders Forum. There may be a chance of the additional qualifying round in September 2021. The format and dates of this round will be announced later.
